Challenge

The challenge was two-fold: Firstly, to develop a 3D game in Unity that encapsulates the essence of Mercedes-Benz trucks, and secondly, to provide a collaborative gaming experience where up to ten players could play simultaneously without any lags or hitches.

Solution

To meet the challenge head-on, a tailored game was crafted in Unity, keeping in mind the Mercedes-Benz brand's distinctive features. The highlight, however, was the development of custom steering wheels, from ideation to 3D modeling, printing, and software development. These steering wheels were not just visually appealing but functionally innovative. Using Wi-Fi 802.11AC technology, they ensured that up to ten players could control the game in real-time, all connected on the same network.
